Ways To Stay Active & Fit This Holiday Season

Dec 08, 2016 @ Project Juice

The holidays are a time for food, celebrations, libations, and generally a flurry of social obligations.

Whether that involves holiday parties, gift shopping or family get-togethers… on top of working, we all understand that sometimes our health goals might be put on the back burner.

To help keep your health on track this season, we’ve put together a list of ways to stay active WHILE spending time with those you love or someone new.

If you live in a temperate climate, you’re fortunate to have hiking trails you can access all year long. Don’t dismay if you live where it snows. Rent snowshoes from your local sporting goods store and really torch those calories.

Being in nature, without all the loud noise of everyday life, will allow you to open up, be authentic, and truly experience being in the moment.

Even in warm weathered-cities, you can find an indoor ice rink or a fun, manmade outdoor one. If you or your company aren’t too experienced on skates, you can expect a full core workout as you learn to balance… and from all the laughing of course!

Enjoy a snowy holiday and take your family (or significant other) out and build a snow man – or a sand-man for all of you Southern Californians. Work together to create a masterpiece or compete to see who has the most creativity!

Take some time to appreciate your neighborhood’s hard work. You know, putting up lights and decorations is no easy feat.

Bundle up and take a walk to check out the holiday lights get your heart pumping.
