During the colder months, some may reach for a dairy and refined-sugar-laden hot chocolate, while others (like yourself) can whip up this delicious and healthy superfood chai recipe right at home!

The spices in this hot chai naturally warm your body and even boosts your immunity, digestion, and metabolism. Where health is concerned, we like to go above and beyond, so we’ve added some of our favorite superfoods into the mix…starting with hemp seeds!

Hemp seeds are a great source of plant-based protein and have a healthy serving of Omega-3’s that support cardiovascular health.

The second (optional) superfood is lucuma powder. This powder has natural sweetness, fiber, iron, and is even a vegetarian source of niacin, which aids in many bodily functions including stress regulation.

Pair with healing spices like turmeric to reduce bloat and inflammation, and naturally sweeten with low-glycemic coconut sugar, this creamy hot chai is sure to keep you warm while keeping your health goals in mind!
