Smoothies-On-the-Go: Antioxidant-Boost Berries & Cream Recipe

Living a busy, on-the-go lifestyle while maintaining healthy habits can seem daunting. Luckily, we've come up with prep recipes for smoothies on-the-go! These can be prepped the night before or whipped up in less than 3 minutes in the morning. Make a few individual batches of the smoothie ingredients at the beginning of your week so you can rest assured knowing your breakfast is easy, delicious, and healthy for you! It is the most important meal of the day after all.


When you’re in the mood for a creamy AND fruity combo, this berries & cream smoothie should do the trick, minus the inflammatory effects of actual whipped cream! We added coconut milk to help keep you satiated with healthy fat while providing a delicious texture and flavor.

Adding plant-based protein to your smoothie keeps you full longer while helping to maintain muscle function. The raspberries and acai add cancer-fighting antioxidants like no other and that sweet, rich flavor that can only accompany berries!

Make sure you buy the BEST fresh produce and when possible, choose organic. 

SMOOTHIES ON TO THE GO RECIPE: BERRIES & CREAM

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 c. nut milk
  • 1 c. full fat coconut milk
  • 1 date, pitted
  • 1 tbs. ground flax seed
  • 1 serving plant-based protein*
  • ½ c. frozen raspberries
  • 1 (100g) serving frozen unsweetened acai puree

*Our recommendation: Project Juice's Superfood Vanilla Blend

NIGHT BEFORE PREP: Put your nut milk of choice and coconut milk into one container (a mason jar works well) and leave in the fridge. Add the date, flax seed, protein, raspberries, and acai puree to a freezer-safe container and place in the freezer.

MORNING PREP: Remove your ingredient container from the freezer and pour into a blender. Add the nut and coconut milk blend and puree until smooth. Enjoy!
