How To Use Maca

Feb 16, 2017 @ Project Juice

You’ve learned what the superfood, maca, is and once you have your hands on it, supplementing your diet with it’s powder form is simple!

Maca has a mellow, almost malty, butterscotch flavor, so it melds easily with sweeter dishes. We’ve made it easy, check out our top 5 favorite ways and learn how to use maca everyday!

A foolproof way (and of course OUR favorite way) of incorporating this superfood into your daily routine is to add a teaspoon to your morning smoothie. Try it with strawberries, a frozen banana, a handful of spinach, and some coconut water to elevate a classic.

Stop by a retail location near you and try our NEW Strawberry Maca Smoothie featuring our house-made almond mylk!

For a richer chocolate-y milkshake, mix a frozen banana, cacao powder, a date, almond milk, and a couple teaspoons of maca. Your flavors will be elevated along with your nutrition profile!

Create a custom juice pack of our nut mylks and have them delivered straight to your door for an easy week of milkshake-making all week long.

Stir maca into coconut yogurt then layer with gluten-free granola and fresh berries; an easy, healthy (yet fancy) parfait for a delicious breakfast option.

Another way to enjoy maca is to simply mix it into a bowl of warm oatmeal with a dollop of maple syrup, a banana, and a pinch of cinnamon.

Add a teaspoon into warmed coconut milk with coconut sugar and raw cacao for a superfood hot chocolate sure to be a crowd favorite in the cooler months.

Make Raw Raspberry White Chocolates for your loved one. These rich, creamy morsels are a romantic addition to a night with your sweetie, in part because of the aphrodisiac effects of the maca root. Or make a batch as a guilt-free indulgence and energy booster throughout the day.

Maca is just one of the many things you can add to your homemade smoothie for that extra nutrition boost.
