Energize With This Go-To Breakfast Matcha Smoothie

We all know the importance of breakfast, and this quick, healthy smoothie is the perfect start to your day. So, ditch the pastry and skip that extra cup of Joe – instead get your energy kick & fuel for the day with this matcha green tea smoothie (found out the full benefits of matcha, here). This breakfast smoothie is not only creamy and delicious, it’s packed with essential fats, proteins, and nutrients for an extra boost of energy!

Avocados in this smoothie offer up omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and fiber, and are balanced with the sweetness of iron-rich dates, zesty mint, and earthy matcha green tea – an antioxidant powerhouse. Coconut milk adds a layer of flavored goodness while providing your body with B-vitamins and healthy saturated fats. Who can say no to all that?

ENERGIZING BREAKFAST MATCHA SMOOTHIE

Total prep time: 5 minutes
Servings: 2

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons matcha powder
  • ½ small avocado, pitted
  • 4-5 dates, pitted
  • ¼ cup fresh mint leaves (packed)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • Handful of ice

Combine all the ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth. Add a handful of ice if desired, and enjoy!
